چکیده
Friction stir spot welding of dissimilar aluminum and copper sheets was investigated in details using Taguchi approach this study. Analysis variance conducted to identify the effective parameters their contributions on mechanical performance. The findings revealed that outputs followed normal distribution. results indicated rotational speed with contribution 87.7% most parameter maximum tensile force tolerated by welded samples. Dwell time penetration depth were second third ranks from effectiveness viewpoint 8.8 2.9%, respectively. significantly improved speed. enhanced almost 228% increasing 550 rpm 1500 rpm. Increasing dwell 10 20 s led improve 31%.The sequence as speed, standpoint influence according signal noise ratio analysis. analysis showed rpm, 2.85 mm, optimum conditions.

Friction stir spot welding (FSSW) is a type of solid state welding that is used in the connection of small pieces and light metals such as aluminum alloy especially. The technical problem during melting of aluminum alloys is one of the most important reasons for developing application of friction stir welding for aluminum alloys. In this research, the effects of important processing parameters ...
متن کاملFriction stir welding of dissimilar alloys – a perspective
Friction stir welding does not involve bulk melting of the components that are joined. This has inspired attempts to exploit it for joining materials which differ in properties, chemical composition or structure, and where fusion can lead to detrimental reactions. The purpose of this special issue of Science and Technology of Welding and Joining was to assess the status of friction stir welding...
